Nicky Barnes known as one of New York’s most notorious drug lords of the 1970s and ’80s. Barnes was sentenced to life in prison in 1978 but later cooperated with federal law enforcement.
After he became an informant, the government reversed his life sentence mandate and he was released in 1998. Later he died of cancer in 2012
The veteran actor Will Smith‘s role will tell the story of Nicky “Mr. Untouchable” Barnes. According to Deadline,Will signed up for the lead role in The Council and reunites with Peter Landesman,director who worked with Will on Concussion. Landesman is responsible for this forthcoming movie’s screenplay.
The Council” consisted about seven men that formed a well drug operation that moved substances throughout Harlem and beyond. Sources have yet to release any updates on the a premier. Stay tune for what’s yet to come from the Veteran actor Will Smith.
