Novant Health partnered with Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan and his family. New clinic in west Charlotte following the $7 million donation
The Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinic is a 6,800-square-foot space on Freedom Drive. It has 12 exam rooms and an X-ray room. Services include primary and preventative care, physical therapy, behavioral health and social support. It is staffed with two doctors and one physician’s assistant.
This is just the start of a battle of being able to touch as many as we can and grow this project,” Jordan said. “The money’s not the issue for me. It’s the commitment to be able to make a difference and make an impact to a community that … in the future is going to make an impact back to the city of Charlotte. And it starts with us.”
This is one of two clinics that Jordan, an NBA Hall of Famer, is helping fund. The Jordan’s donation went toward the land purchase, the building’s construction and equipment for the clinic. Another location is under construction off of Statesville Avenue. That clinic is set to open next year.
