Director Spike Lee let it be known today that he will be holding a rally in support of the free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick at NFL headquarters in New York City on Aug. 23.Lee tweeted the following details regarding the event:
Colin still remains unsigned, due to the debate about whether his decision to kneel during the national anthem in protest of racial inequality and police brutality last season. Kneeling for what he truly believes in contributed to his inability to join an NFL team.
