The Oklahoma City Thunder’s season is over after losing to the Utah Jazz, and it’s likely that their front office is already making moves for next season.

But if those moves involve making Carmelo Anthony come off the bench they better think long and hard because he’s not interested.  In fact, Melo said that it would be “out of the question” for him to come off the bench.

I think everybody knows that I’ve sacrificed kind of damn near everything,” he explained in a press interview. “Family, moving here by myself, sacrificed my game for the sake of the team and was willing to sacrifice anything and everything in order for this situation to work out. So it’s something I really have to think about, if I really want to be this type of player, finish out my career as this type of player, knowing that I have so much left in the tank and I bring so much to the game of basketball.”

Melo still has one year remaining on his $28 million contract, which has a no-trade clause. He can opt out of if he chooses. But, at this point, no NBA team would pay him anywhere near $28 million for two years, -GOOD GRIEF
