Digital Underground rapper Shock G, who scored a major hit with The Humpty Dance, was known for his prosthetic nose, and helped launch the career of Tupac Shakur is now dead at age 57.

Shock G” was found unresponsive today in a Tampa hotel room. The cause of death is unknown but there is no sign of trauma.

Shock’s alter ego was instantly recognizable in the early nineties.
