Saturday was crazy for the boxing world if you didn’t know DEONTAY WILDER’S brother Marsellos was brutally knocked out just hours before the WBC Champion defended his crown.

Deontay had to come into the ring with the intent to conquer. The heavyweight king’s younger sibling, 30, suffered the second KO defeat of his career as he fought on the undercard of Wilder vs Luis Ortiz II at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

He was in control of the scheduled six-round cruiserweight clash when he was caught by a huge left hand from Dustin Long.

Wilder on the other hand the Bronze Bomber, that all-important right hand came to the fore and earned the champion another victory.

In the seventh round, Wilder landed a clean one-two combination that felled Ortiz, who was unable to make the count as the referee waved off the contest.

Speaking in the ring after the fight, Wilder said how difficult a challenge Ortiz posed.

You can see why no other heavyweight wants to fight him (Ortiz),’ he said. ‘He is very crafty in the ring and so I had to play around with him and calculate certain moves and measure him specifically.
